Why Do Some Internet Marketers Succeed While Others Fail To Earn A Dime?

If you look around on any Internet marketing forum you will see those who are constantly complaining they are not making any money no matter how hard they try. You will also see a few marketers who talk as if everything they touch turns into gold.
Is this really true? Are there Internet marketers who are successful over others most of the time? Are some people just meant to fail at this game while a small few succeed and make all the money?
I would say this is definitely not the case. The marketers who succeed do not have any secrets that are going to keep you in a certain position. However, what these successful markers do have is the desire to succeed, and a few other traits that unsuccessful marketers don’t. In the following paragraphs I am going to discuss why some marketers fail and why some succeed (from my point of view… Feel free to share yours in the comments below)
Successful marketers work hard and smart
For some strange reason every time certain people hear the word work they want to run and scream in the other direction. A reality people have to face if they hope to be successful on the Internet is that they are going to have to put in some work. Not only will they have to work, but they will have to figure out ways to be creative in the process, meaning doing things smarter. This way they will be able to save time and get the most for their efforts. (Outsourcing is the first thing that comes to mind)
Successful marketers outsource
Assuming you are not a college kid doing this, you probably have other responsibilities to take care of right? So in this case you are not going to have a lot of time to devote towards your business. If this is the case whatever money you were able to earn from it, or whatever money you have available to spend you would have to consider outsourcing.
With outsourcing you are getting someone else to do all the work you simply do not have the time to do. You do not have to pay them an arm and a leg, the goal is to get them doing the mundane tasks that do not make you money directly while you focus on those things. This way you can take care of your responsibilities, and have someone putting in hours to build your business for you. Successful marketers do this while the ones who fail don’t.
Successful marketers test and unsuccessful ones don’t
Everything is not going to work the first time you try it, and when it involves having to risk money you certainly need to invest in your research. This means that you will need to be willing to lose a little bit of money in most cases.
You are losing a little bit of money in the hopes you will find a method or a platform that works. Once you find something that works you can pound it into the ground. $$$$!
Unsuccessful marketers do not test; they usually want something to work for them right away. If it does not work then they will get discouraged. Most likely they will look at whatever they tried and they will write it off as being a scam.
These marketers will echo the same feelings to others looking to get involved with Internet marketing. All they had to do was properly test and they would have given themselves a much better chance at success.(Not to mention all the negativity that this generates!)
Successful markers see past the hype
The last thing you want to do is fall for hype when you are an Internet marker. Hype implies that there is some sort of secret that is going to make you successful. Hype implies if you buy a particular product you will be successful. It can look really attractive and flashy, but most of the time it is nothing more then an illusion that should be avoided at all costs.
Smart marketers know there are only a few core ways to succeed and they remain constant. There is no magic button nor is there a single secret that will change your results tomorrow.
The fact of the matter is if you want to be a successful marketer you need to be willing to put in the work. You must be willing to hang in there and not give up the first time something does not work out. You must be willing to invest in your research and then dedicate the time or have someone else do it for you by outsourcing.

Hi Robin,
Great points you make. I think the one ingredient that marketers need for success is to be passionate about what they are doing then they will do whatever it takes to be successful
Secondly too many markers are just too unfocused. You have to stick with one thing and give it the energy and time required.

Hey Robin,
Great tips. I think the key here is just focus on one or few things until you get that right. And if something doesn’t works just change it as most people keep on doing the same things over and over again and get the same results.
